Hi-Speed Catamaran (foot passengers only) from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head – crossing time approx. 15 minutes. Direct link to Island Line train service to Shanklin.
Vehicle ferry from Southampton to East Cowes – crossing time approx. 1 hour
Red Jet Hi-Speed Service (foot passengers only) from Southampton to West Cowes – crossing time approx. 18 minutes
Hovercraft (foot passengers only) from Southsea to Ryde – crossing time approx. 20 minutes
Once you are on the Island, this is how to find Brooke House.
From the Wightlink Car Ferry at Fishbourne, follow the B3339 (Fishbourne Lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown and A3055 to Shanklin.
From the Wightlink Car Ferry at Yarmouth, follow the A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3020 to Shanklin.
From the Red Funnel Car Ferry at East Cowes, take the second exit at the roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3020 to Shanklin
If you are not bringing your own vehicle to the Island, this is how to find us using public transport.
From Ryde: please either visit the train station annexed to the Catamaran or travel on the No. 3 bus route.
From Yarmouth: No. 7 to Newport and change to No. 2.
Brooke House is ideally located for all public transport routes with the train station and bus stops all within a couple of minutes walk.
